Standards/conditions
The standards and conditions for the low-cost hotels introduced in this article are basically set as follows.
- Recommended by YouTuber
- Accommodation fees are generally up to 1,000 baht on weekdays.
- Private room (with shower and toilet)
- Air conditioner, refrigerator, PC desk available
Even though it is a budget hotel, I exclude run-down apartments with bad reputations and overpriced hotels.
Hotel fee
Accommodation rates are based on the results of a search on Agoda using the following conditions.
- Search date
Wednesday, November 24, 2023
（Search on the last Wednesday of the month） - Scheduled stay date
Wednesday, December 6, 2023 One night
Saturday, December 2, 2023 One night
（First Wednesday and Saturday of the month）
I do this because most hotels have a large price difference between weekdays and holidays. If the scheduled stay date is fully booked, I will search for the same day of the week next week instead. In addition, most hotels in Pattaya generally charge up to 2 people per room, and the room rate is the same whether it’s for 1 or 2 people. Also, on Agoda, when I search for 2 adults, I almost always see a cheaper price than for 1 person, so starting this month, I am writing the prices for 2 people.
Exchange rate
(By the way, the exchange rate is the same as last year)
The exchange rate (according to Google Finance) on November 24, 2023, when I investigated hotel prices, was 1 THB to 0.0282 USD. WISE exchange rate is also the same at 35.45(THB/USD). Agoda’s hotel fee (THB) are expressed in USD using the above exchange rate of 35.45
Please note that there are actually fees charged when sending money overseas with WISE, but these are not taken into consideration. For example, the THB exchange value when remitting 100 USD will be as follows.
- 100USD – 0.13USD(other fee) -1.90USD(WISE fee) = 97.97USD(Amount received) = 3472.55THB(Amount received)
Cheap hotel rates in Pattaya
The cost per night at the budget hotels featured in this article is as follows.
- Weekday: ฿536 〜 ฿1,223 ($15.11 〜 $34.49)
- Holiday: ฿564 〜 ฿1,336 ($15.90 〜 $37.68)
At the time of our research in October, two months ago (rainy season), this article featured hotels with room rates up to 900 baht on weekdays. The list of hotels hasn’t changed much since then, but since November has become the best season for sightseeing in Thailand, and some hotels have holiday rates that are more than double what they are on weekdays, the range of accommodation rates has widened. .

Harmony Inn Pattaya
It is located on the main road of Pratumnak, about halfway between Walking Street and Jomtien. It is a 3 star hotel. Since it is far from the center of Pattaya, it is difficult to access it without a motorbike. If you take a Songthaew from this hotel to Terminal 21, it will probably cost twice as much (separate charge beyond Central Festival). Parking is available and free. There is also a pool. However, there is no gym.

There are no vacancies on weekdays or holidays in December. The reviews on Agoda are good, and the only problem seems to be the location, which is far from central Pattaya. On the other hand, the accommodation rates are set low, so it can be said to be a budget hotel with good value for money.

It is located on the main thoroughfare of Pratumnak, within walking distance of Walking Street. The location isn’t too bad. However, since the surrounding area is a local residence, it may be difficult for those who are interested. Weekday accommodation rates have doubled since two months ago (rainy season). Saturday accommodation rates are cheaper than last month. I guess it means that last month’s price was too high. At the time of the survey in October, the cost performance was good as it was “around ฿500 for a 3-star hotel,” but at this price, it doesn’t feel like a good deal.

The room is quite spacious at 40 m². There is also a bathtub. According to reviews on Agoda, although the rooms are a bit outdated, they are generally highly rated and there seem to be quite a few regular guests. However, I think the cost performance is fair, as other budget hotels have become more expensive during the high season.

It’s located right next to the shopping mall The Avenue Pattaya, and you can also get to 2nd road, so it’s in a great location. Parking is available and free. There is also a gym and pool. The Agoda description for the cheapest budget single room says that there is no air conditioning or TV, but the room photo shows both, so there seems to be a difference between the photo and the actual room.
