From the end of October to December 2020 during Go To Travel project, I stay in Tokyo while moving from one hotel to another there. Here are some accommodations I have stayed in Tokyo. I stayed at the same accommodation several times, but the duplicated content has been cut.

It is a list of hotels that I stayed in Tokyo.

It is five minutes walk from Keikyu Kamada Station. It’s a bit far from the station, but it’s a 6-minute walk from Haneda Airport to the nearest Keikyu Kamata station, so it’s the perfect hotel the day before your flight in the early morning.

The cleanliness and size of the room was fine. it is a very comfortable hotel with a beautiful desk and a large desk area. However, the internet speed was a little difficult. WiFi speed only came out at a few Mbps, and even with a wired connection to the LAN terminal, the download speed was only a few Mbps. However, the upload speed is abnormally fast, so it may be good for YouTuber.

It is a recommended hotel because it was super comfortable except for the internet environment.

It is near Tokyo Metro Oshiage Station. It is convenient because it is a few minutes walk from the Sky Tree, and the location is easy to understand because it is along the main street across the bridge. Ideal for sightseeing in the Sky Tree.

There was no particular problem with the cleanliness and size of the room. However, the following was not good compared to other hotels.

• No luggage storage service
• Reception desk is absent early in the morning and late at night
• Check-out time is 10am. 1 hour early
• For some reason the room is cold, the air conditioner is for home use and the power is weak
• The space around the desk is small
• The internet speed was not good (several Mbps) only with WiFi. No LAN wired connection
• The built-in small refrigerator made a clicking sound

Since there were no customers now, the price was quite cheap, and I didn’t have any big complaints, so I didn’t really care about it, but what about the regular price? I was just wondering about it.

Perhaps because there were no customers, the luggage storage was specially handled.

It is right next to Tokyo Metro Mitsukoshimae Station. There are train stations on all four sides, and it is within walking distance from JR Tokyo Station, so it is in a location with good transportation access.

I am satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the quality of service. I was able to spend comfortably without any problems. It was the same at the hotel in Sugamo, Smile Hotel has slow WiFi. However, if you have a wired connection to the LAN terminal, you can get close to 100 Mbps, so you are not dissatisfied with the Internet speed. There was no problem because the desk space was fairly large.

Breakfast is buffet style. It looks like this when almost all types are fetched. This volume is about 400 yen plus the accommodation fee, so it’s a great deal. Since there were few guests on the day of stay, the accommodation fee was cheaper than usual, and the breakfast was practically free. The taste was also satisfying.

It is right next to Ueno Hirokoji Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Since it is located in the center of downtown Ueno, it is the best location for sightseeing in Ueno.

I booked in a single room, but (due to the influence of Corona) I got a free upgrade to a double room. I  was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the quality of service. I was able to spend comfortably without any problems. The chair in the desk space is a stool, and the seating area was not stiff, so I personally prefer this one.

It is located near Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It is located along Kaminarimon-dori in the downtown area, right next to Kaminarimon, making it an ideal location for sightseeing in Asakusa.

I felt the building was retro in the Showa era, but I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the quality of service. I was able to spend it without any problems. This hotel has a pretty nice public bath. There was a sauna, a big bath, and a relaxation room, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. However, the bathtub is shared by both men and women, and it is replaced depending on the time of day. It seems that the accommodation cost is reduced by that amount.

It is located near Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It is located on the back of the main street, and even in the center of the tourist area, it is in a fairly quiet place with little traffic.

Unlike other hotels, there are some issues with cleanliness and quality of service.

It was nice that the room had a shower room and a large communal bath, but the room was a bit bad. In particular, the darkness and drafts of the room will be quite severe for nervous people, and there are some issues with the common space on the 1st and 2nd floors, so it is recommended to decide after staying overnight when staying consecutive nights.

It is located slightly south of Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It faces the main street along the Sumida River and is right next to the BANDAI headquarters. It is in a quiet location with few tourists.

The single room was comfortable with plenty of space. The small double room was a bit small, but the desk was a sofa instead of a chair, so it was comfortable for long hours of desk work and reading. Both rooms are satisfied with cleanliness and quality of service. I was able to spend it without any problems.

It is located near Tawaramachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and ホテル サンルート 浅草 (Hotel Sunroute Asakusa) It is located in the downtown area of Asakusa, right next to the shopping building Asakusa ROX, the location is the most recommended among the hotels in Asakusa.

The double room was quite large, there was plenty of space to spread a large suitcase, and there was plenty of space around the desk, so it was comfortable. The twin room was smaller than that. In particular, the desk area was narrow, I couldn’t pull the chair back, and I felt like I was caught between the desk and the bed, so long hours of desk work was tough. I was able to spend time without any problems such as cleanliness and service quality. There was no bathtub and only a small shower room. WiFi speed was fast, but I was worried about the lack of security. However, since it has a LAN terminal, I was able to comfortably connect to the Internet with the LAN-USB conversion adapter. Except for those negative points, it is the strongest and most recommended hotel. It was great value for money

It is located near Asakusa Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It is conveniently located for sightseeing in Asakusa, a few minutes’ walk from Sensoji Temple. However, it’s a few minutes walk from downtown Asakusa, so I prefer ホテル サンルート 浅草 (Hotel Sunroute Asakusa)  to this hotel. There is a restaurant on the ground floor where you can have breakfast.

The room was the size of a single room, but I was able to spend it without any problems such as cleanliness and quality of service. However, the price was relatively high, and I was worried that the WiFi speed was slow.

It was about the same as スマイルホテル巣鴨 (Smile Hotel Sugamo), where I stayed before, Since there is a LAN terminal, there should be no problem if you use a conversion adapter as well.

It is very close to Tawaramachi Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. It is conveniently located for sightseeing in Asakusa, a few minutes’ walk from Sensoji Temple. The family restaurant Jonathan is on the 2nd floor and is open until late at night (23:30), so it’s very convenient to enter directly from the hotel.

I was able to stay at a super-discount rate probably because there were few guests due to the COVID-19. In addition, I booked a semi-double room, but at check-in I was upgraded to a double room.

I was able to spend comfortably without any problems such as room size, cleanliness, and quality of service.

It is very close to JR Sugamo Station. There are many shops around Sugamo Station, so it is in a very convenient location. The first floor can be used for meetings, but there is no table so it is not a place to spend a relaxing time. You can dine at the adjacent restaurant.

The unit bath was a little old in the room, but I was able to spend it comfortably without any problems.

That’s because you can hear a “knocking” sound from the ceiling ventilation (?) Part in front of the door. It was not always, but it didn’t stop for a while when it started ringing. If you’re a nervous person, you can’t help but be worried. However, the problem was that WiFi was very slow.

At best, it disconnects at 10 Mbps, and at worst, it disconnects at 1 Mbps or less. Videos take a considerable amount of time to upload. However, there is a LAN cable terminal in the room, so there should be no problem if you use a wired connection or a conversion adapter. (No rental)

It is very close to Nakaitabashi Station on the Tobu Line. The surrounding area is a residential area with no buildings or large shops, but there are restaurants and supermarkets in the shopping district leading from the station, so it is a convenient place to live in. The building was new and the inside was pretty clean, clean and comfortable.

It is a conscientious fee.

There is a co-working space on the first basement floor. It can be used for 24 hours. It is available to non-guests until 6 pm and costs 600 yen.

There is such a space on the roof, and it is comfortable when the weather is nice. However, since there is no electric light, it is pitch black at night and cannot be used.

It is near Kayabacho Station on the Tokyo Metro. Since it is located in the business district, there are no tourist spots, but there are places to eat easily such as Hanamaru Udon. There is an inexpensive cafe on the first floor of the hotel, which is also used by non-guest businessmen for breakfast. Check-in and luggage storage can be done with a QR code reader, but you can rest assured that there is a reception desk in the hotel lobby. I was able to spend comfortably without any problems such as room size, cleanliness, and quality of service.

Breakfast was included.

The WiFi in the room was only a few Mbps. It was slow, but when I told the front desk that, I was able to lend a LAN-connected pocket WiFi for free.

The internet speed was always over 50Mbps both up and down, which was undisputed.

It is located in Higashiikebukuro, a few minutes walk from the center of Ikebukuro. If you cross the main street, it is in the center of Ikebukuro, so it is very convenient. There is an inexpensive cafe on the first floor of the hotel. I was able to spend most of my time comfortably without any problems such as room size, cleanliness, and quality of service. However, I was worried that the motor noise of the refrigerator was a little noisy and that the bed make-up was a little rough (not suitable for the height of the person). It depends on the room and the cleaning staff.

Breakfast was not included, but you can have breakfast at a reasonable price at the cafe on the first floor.

It is near Inaricho Station on the Tokyo Metro. The hotel is located in a residential area, a little far from the downtown area of Ameyoko and its surroundings near Ueno Station on the JR Yamanote Line. Originally it was an apartment, the appearance was not like a hotel, and the room was like a room in an apartment. There was no problem with the size and cleanliness of the room. I was able to spend it comfortably.

It is very close to Otsuka Station on the JR Yamanote Line. It is in a good location within walking distance (about 20 minutes) from the downtown area of Ikebukuro. The hotel was quite large and had a large communal bath on the top floor. There was also an elegant cafe on the 2nd floor, which was a comfortable hotel such as the upper class of APA Hotel. There was no problem with the size and cleanliness of the room. I was able to spend it comfortably.

The price was a little higher than other APA hotels, probably because of its good location and large communal bath.

It is very close to Nippori Station on the JR Yamanote Line. Nippori is also in a good location with a Sky-Liner that connects directly to Narita Airport. It is convenient because there are many restaurants in the area where you can eat cheaply. There was no problem with the size and cleanliness of the room. I was able to spend it comfortably.

Breakfast was included here.

All-you-can-eat bread and all-you-can-drink drinks are the lowest price range of APA Hotel, so it is the best business hotel. It was great value of cost.

It is near JR Kamata Station, which is close to Haneda Airport. There are many shops around the hotel, which is convenient. In addition, there is a shopping street near the hotel, and there are also cheap restaurants and shops selling daily necessities, so it is the best hotel for long-term stays. I used this hotel in a quarantine place for 2 weeks after returning to Japan.

The size of the room was larger than other business hotels, and there was no problem with cleanliness. I was able to spend it comfortably. In addition, stick-shaped coffee and tea were all-you-can-drink.

The price was higher than others. Also, because Go To Travel was just before it became possible in Tokyo, there was no discount and it was a considerable expense.
