What’s Fuchico at the rim of the cup

Fuchico is one of the figures found inside capsule toys portraying as an office worker. The catch phrase is ‘Angel flying down on the edge of the cup’. We enjoy placing these figures on the edge of the glass while enjoying the humor of the scene.

The woman figure was designed by Tanaka Katsuki and made with KITAN CLUB Co. Fuchico is a brown-haired woman with two ponytails on each side. However, she doesn’t have a profile or anything.

In 2013 and 2014, taking pictures and posting funny scenes on SNS were popular among younger generation in Japan.

Fuchico’s goods and collaboration with other companies

Not only figures but also various goods were released by KITAN CLUB Co. This cup was one of the Fuchico’s goods. However, the company focused on making variations of Fuchico figures rather than selling these goods.

While releasing these goods, they also collaborated with Sanrio Co. to make figures by using both of their main characters Fuchico and Hello Kitty.

In addtion, other characters which sit on the rim of cup were also released. These characters are Puella Magi and Madoka Magica.

Fuchico at Onsen, the rim of the cup

In 2014, The TV program entitled ‘Fuchico at Onsen(local hot spring)’ was broadcasted. As per the title, a race queen, Arima Ayaka imitated Fuchico and visited local hot Onsens and reported there.

Many kinds of Fuchico figures were released. One of them wears a nurses’ uniform, and the other wears Yukata and so on. In Christmas season, Fuchico dressed up in Santa Claus was released.
